Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration
August 28-Sept 4, 2009

Cost: USD 4,900 per person on twin share basis and excludes international flights to and from Nairobi.
(Optional Bonobos starter) Arriving in Kinshasa Saturday 22nd August we will make the short drive to our selected Bonobos reserve where we will spend six days observing and interacting with juvenile and adult Bonobos. These magnificent apes are matriarchal and have wonderful personalities and are best known for some of their behaviour – do some googling and you will see what we mean! We then fly to Nairobi on Friday 28th August where we spend one night before flying out to the Maasai Mara on Saturday 29th August.
Maasai Mara
Here we will spend six days trying very hard to catch the thousands of
Wildebeest crossing the rivers, but in any case we will enjoy the sheer scale and
spectacle of the migration as well as the big cats: Lion, Leopard and Cheetah and the
complete range of resident game in the Mara. We will be using private vehicles of
course so that we maximize the flexibility to do exactly what we want to do and see.
With some patience we are bound to be rewarded with fantastic viewings and
photographs. The trip finishes in Nairobi on Friday 4th September.
This trip has been designed to immediately follow our DRC Bonobos trip so that they combine as one back-to-back trip but it is possible to do just the Bonobos trip or just the Wildebeest Migration trip. Please contact us should you wish to book or if you require further information and you will find a photographic slideshow of the Wildebeest Migration on the Blog on this website.
