Our most recent photographic tours:
Exciting South Africa’ August 2010
Shutterspeedtravel has focussed on African wildlife in East Africa, Central Africa and Botswana. Many of our friends and contacts have spoken about the quality of safaris in South Africa but our reluctance has always been based on concerns about too much effort on rose petals in bathtubs and not enough on the wildlife – we know visibility can be tricky in SA’s bush where there aren’t the wide open grasslands of the Mara for instance. Rajasthan, an explosion of colour 2009/2010
With the intention to get away from the typical Rajasthan city and temple jaunts, our expedition started off in Delhi with a walking tour of the old city, and in articular the flower and food markets. The sounds, smells, bustle and welcoming banter produced magical memories. MORE
CAR and Bonobos in the DRC - August 2009
Everyone who travels with us shares our enthusiasm for Africa and most are also fans of the great apes. Our latest trip to Central African Republic (CAR) and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) focused on observing lowland gorillas and bonobos, fabulous species in their own right but boy they live in difficult terrain and indeed difficult countries within Africa. India: Tigers, Tigers, Tigers 2009
Tigers are without question one of the most beautiful of the big cats. In central India they live in forested reserves, which combined with no off-road driving, and excellent camouflage makes them one of the most challenging to see! MORE
Falklands, South Georgia and Antartica December 08
Xmas and New Year celebrated in and around Antarctica is very special. This time we sailed on The Professor Multanovskiy which takes 50 passengers and our 19 night expedition set sail mid December from the relative warmth of Ushuaia straight into rough seas on the first evening. MORE
Welcome to Shutterspeedtravel, specialists in bespoke wildlife photography holidays
Very simply, we want to share our enthusiasm and knowledge with you.
We are passionate about photography, wildlife and travel. We have traveled extensively and we continue to explore new countries and new wildlife experiences. Trying always to be in the right place at the right time, with the right camera equipment and in good company, we are proud of the portfolio of travel and wildlife photographs we have created. They are very important reminders of ‘magical moments’ on exciting expeditions, of adventures in the bush and the people we have met.
