What Shutterspeedtravel’s all about…


We are very keen but not fanatical photographers and unlike ‘Norman Knowitall’, we are not camera bores, - at least we don’t think we are! But with the right equipment, the right guides and being in the right place at the right time, we have created a portfolio of travel and wildlife photographs of which we are proud. They are very important reminders of ‘magical moments’ on exciting expeditions, life in the bush and good company.

We want to share our enthusiasm with others. For those of you who want to get away from mainstream holidays and crowds, who prefer ‘best-comforts-bush’ to 5 star luxury and who want to come back from hard earned holidays with a portfolio of eye catching wildlife shots - not a dot in the corner of the photograph which may or may not be a lion – then Shutterspeedtravel is for you.

Are you disappointed with your wildlife photographs? – Do you think you have an eye for composition but your photographs just don’t turn out having the impact you were expecting? All too often it is a matter of being too far away and/or having inadequate kit. We can sort out both of these for you by getting you closer to the action, by loaning you the right equipment if necessary and by providing you with pragmatic, personalised and focused tuition. This will be incorporated into each day’s photography shoots so it’s fun, informal and practical, and in the evenings, often around a campfire, you will have further access to our advice and computers so that if you have gone digital you can view the day’s results on a big screen and exchange ideas with the rest of the party.
